The venue was originally expected to open sooner, but the current target date is now early 2027. The founder has said construction is continuing while the team works through final financing. The project is not dead, but it is a clear example of how even fast-growing markets are not immune to rising costs and financing challenges.
The McDaniel Hits Financial Trouble
The McDaniel is planned as one of Greenville's most exclusive residential developments. Located near Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville, the project is designed to bring luxury townhouses inspired by architecture found in New York City's Upper East Side. New Stadium Opens in Mauldin
Not every project is facing setbacks. After years of planning and construction, a new stadium officially opened in Mauldin earlier this month. The debut featured a Greenville Triumph win followed by fireworks, as thousands of fans got their first look at the new facility.
This is more than just a soccer stadium.
