More jobs, more buildings, and more opportunities are coming to Greenville, South Carolina. The city is gearing up for one of its most exciting years yet. By 2026, the Upstate will look noticeably different, with several large-scale developments that promise to boost the economy, enhance local living, and attract even more people to call this area home.

If you are a resident, investor, or someone thinking about moving to Greenville, this is the perfect time to see what is coming next.

    1. Isuzu’s $280 Million Manufacturing Facility

A major investment worth $280 million is on its way to Greenville and is set to bring at least 700 new jobs within the next year.

Isuzu will open a 1-million-square-foot manufacturing plant near the Downtown Greenville Airport, which will produce more than 50,000 vehicles every year by 2030.

This development will focus on gas, diesel, and electric commercial vehicles, strengthening Greenville’s reputation as a growing automotive manufacturing hub.

The project is expected to create a ripple effect that will raise nearby property values, particularly in Piedmont and other surrounding areas, and encourage new commercial growth.

    2. Greer’s $60 Million Sports Complex

The city of Greer is taking a big step forward with a 200,000-square-foot indoor sports complex now under construction. This $60 million project will host major sports tournaments and bring long-term economic benefits to the community.

Once complete in 2027, the complex will include:

    • 9 basketball courts
    • 18 volleyball courts
    • A dedicated wrestling space
    • An esports suite
    • An indoor walking track
    • A multipurpose event venue

Located on 26 acres, this new development will position Greer as one of the Upstate’s top destinations for sports and events, attracting families, athletes, and visitors from across the region.

    3. Triumph & Liberty’s New Soccer Stadium at BridgeWay Station

Sports fans have more to look forward to with a new soccer stadium for the Greenville Triumph and Liberty teams at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin.

The stadium will seat 6,300 fans and will host both soccer games and concerts, turning it into a new go-to event destination for the Upstate.

BridgeWay Station is already known as Mauldin’s new downtown, and the addition of this stadium will make the area even more walkable and vibrant, offering more opportunities for local residents and businesses.

Greenville’s popular Swamp Rabbit Trail is getting another major improvement with a new pedestrian bridge at Verdae Boulevard.

This $6 million project will improve safety for people traveling near Hollingsworth Park and the Verdae area, giving pedestrians and cyclists a safer way to cross busy streets.

The bridge is part of Greenville’s long-term plan to expand and enhance the Swamp Rabbit Trail, creating more outdoor spaces for recreation and connection.

    5. Wheels Sports Park: A First for the Upstate

Outdoor enthusiasts have something special to look forward to. The Wheels Sports Park on Airplane Road will become one of Greenville’s most unique attractions.

    This 10-acre park will include:

    • A modern concrete skate park
    • An asphalt pump track
    • A bicycle playground
    • Connections to the Airport Loop Trail and the Swamp Rabbit Green Line

It is designed for riders of all ages and skill levels and will add another fun and exciting destination for Greenville’s growing outdoor community.

The Upstate’s Future Looks Brighter Than Ever Florida & Texas: No state income tax.

From new job opportunities to impressive recreation spaces, Greenville is showing strong signs of growth. These projects are only a preview of what is ahead, proving that the Upstate continues to be one of the fastest-growing and most desirable areas to live in South Carolina.
